Soft colours take centre stage, with whites and their variations expressing purity and serenity. Shades blend and make reference to natural materials: white woods, plant fibres and original materials create an overall harmony and offer a zen-like ambiance. For elegance, black marks its arrival in home interior decoration. Sophisticated, purplish, metallic and warm blacks offer a subtle play of reflections, shine and light. Plants overrun the living space with natural greens highlighted by wood or chocolate complementaries.
Stimulating and vivid turquoise brings colour. It provides a sense of freshness and modernity.
For inspiration, vintage returns to centre stage with oversized and insistent patterns affixed to a panel like wallpaper. It is also the return of the ??dame fleurette?, a simple stylised flower invented in the 50s. A pattern that stands out with all its graphic force, no blending or artifice, just obviousness. Both a companion of the stripe and its opposite, the polka dot serves as a support for variations of original colours. It is diverted and becomes irregular, moving like a splash of colour. Make room for a very graphic theme with the plant influence, its stencil effects and simplified forms. The plant theme is a contemporary bias.
Rhythm & Harmony is also known for its unusual concept of personalised blinds enabling customers to create a unique blind made from a combination of design stripes and coordinated plain flat tints. This original concept, acclaimed by the interior design press, is particularly suited to contemporary houses and other modern loft apartments.
