Innovative, long-lasting awning fabrics
To reinforce the fabric's properties, each thread undergoes special, ultra-high-performance treatments that makes the finished product strong, comfortable to use and exceptionally long-lasting.
Dickson® fabrics block up to 95% of glare and heat (reduces the greenhouse effect), keeping your interior cool and, depending on the colour, the fabric blocks 90% to 100% of UV rays.
That way, you can make the most of your outdoor space while remaining protected.
Our fabrics' solution-dyed acrylic threads guarantee long-lasting resistance to external aggressions, such as rain and UV rays. Even when they are fully exposed to sunlight, the colours stay as bright as ever over time. Your Dickson® awning fabric will stay stylish and bold as the years go by.
The CleanGard process we apply to the heart of the fabric gives it its waterproof, stain-resistant properties. As water cannot penetrate the fabric, no mould will ever form.
So confident is Dickson® in its fibres, treatments and weaving procedures that its fabrics come with a 10-year guarantee. Thanks to their manufacturing process and strict quality controls in the lab, Dickson® fabrics possess technical characteristics that make them both highly effective and long-lasting.
Awning fabrics improve your comfort, whether used outside or inside. By reducing the temperature and light inside and outside, awnings improve buildings’ energy performance and contribute towards their inhabitants’ well-being.
- When installed in front of bay windows, our fabrics can block out the sun's rays and cutting the indoor temperature by up to 5°C. They reduce the amount of light that gets through to prevent glare while maintaining enough natural light. They provide privacy and protect your furniture from UV rays.
- Thanks to our awning fabrics, you can spend more time outside at any time of day and throughout the year. They offer optimal protection against UV rays, heat and glare, keep humidity away in the evening, and shelter you from the weather, should the heavens open.
With ‘Life Comfort by Dickson', we can support you as you choose the right fabric for your thermal and visual comfort and UV protection needs.
Each fabric is evaluated according to 7 key criteria, defined by the EN14501 standard :
Outdoor solar factor, indoor solar factor, glare control, natural light, visual contact with the outside, night-time privacy, UV class – to help you decide which is the right one for you.
