Our environmental commitment

As a manufacturer and global leader in technical textiles, we place responsible innovation at the heart of our approach. We continuously invest in more sustainable and ethical solutions, providing real answers to the major environmental challenges of today and tomorrow.

Our mission: to create innovative and responsible textiles, to help you experience unique moments!

Greenovation, eco-responsibility at the heart of our daily lives

Greenovation Greenovation

For over 20 years, we have integrated environmental considerations into every action we take. Achieving ISO 9001 certification in 2001 marked the beginning of a continuous improvement process, reinforced in 2011 by an ambitious program based on concrete and measurable commitments: Greenovation.

Guided by a shared conviction—combining performance, consistency, and respect for the environment—we make eco-responsibility a daily reality.

Our mission

From indoor and outdoor upholstery fabrics to marine fabrics, our mission is to create innovative and responsible textiles that allow you to enjoy unique moments.

Throughout our lives, textiles clothe us, protect us, keep us warm and embellish our daily lives and living spaces. They allow us to forge strong bonds between people.

At Sunbrella, we are constantly investing in more virtuous solutions, particularly through our recycled ranges (Endless collection, Sunbrella Plus Recycled ranges).

Recycle My Dickson: giving a second life to our textile waste

Launched in 2023 and rolled out in 2025, the Recycle My Dickson program valorizes 100% of our acrylic textile waste through recycling, reuse, and upcycling.

Thanks to a unique mechanical process developed by our partner, our waste is transformed into high-quality recycled acrylic fibre, which is then reintegrated into our yarns to weave unique new collections containing up to 50% recycled material.

This program perfectly illustrates our commitment to a more sustainable future, where innovation, performance, and responsibility combine to reduce our carbon footprint and preserve natural resources.

At Dickson, we believe that exceptional textiles can also be responsible textiles.

Measure and reduce our carbon impact

Our actions to limit our environmental footprint are based primarily on the precise measurement of the carbon impact of our products. This assessment allows us to eco-design our future products in a responsible and sustainable way.

For the past two years, we have been conducting in-house life cycle assessments (LCAs) for each of our products to quantify their CO₂ emissions and identify reduction opportunities at every stage—from manufacturing to end-of-life.

These studies are carried out internally, with the support of an environmental expert who ensures adherence to the methodologies.

Dickson strengthens its commitment to a sustainable future with EDF Solar Solutions

As part of our Greenovation program and in response to the requirements of the Climate Law and the Tertiary Sector Decree, our commitments are taking on a new dimension with the installation of a photovoltaic power plant comprised of 2,834 solar panels covering an area of 6,000 m².

Results: 25% of the electricity needs are now produced on-site through self-consumption using solar energy
