Minneberg School in Arvika: a modern and caring learning environment
Inaugurated at the start of the 2021 school year, Minneberg School is a secondary-level institution located in the heart of Arvika. Welcoming around 900 students, the school stands out for its educational approach focused on well-being and the personal development of each student.
Designed to offer a safe, stimulating, and welcoming environment, the school provides spaces dedicated to relaxation, socialization, activities, and the building of positive relationships. Its mission is clear: to ensure that every student feels good, makes progress, and learns under the best possible conditions.
The school campus consists of five wooden buildings, each two to three stories high, designed with great attention to quality of life. Every detail—from materials to colors to the layout of classrooms—was conceived based on extensive research into student well-being.
However, after the opening, a challenge quickly emerged: the initially installed interior roller blinds were not sufficient to regulate the indoor temperature. On sunny days, the heat became excessive, affecting the comfort of both students and staff.
To address this, 340 StyRa® Zip Screen Z460 exterior vertical blinds were installed, using Dickson SWK ZIP M652 Silver fabric. This solution proved highly effective, significantly reducing the indoor temperature while preserving a pleasant view to the outside. It has greatly improved learning and working conditions in the school.
