Lagoon EIGHTY 2: nature as textile inspiration
Aboard the Lagoon EIGHTY 2, the upholstery echoes the beauty of the Pacific lagoons. Amandine Fournier, Marine Designer for Sunbrella®, drew on this joyful and ever-changing nature to create a textile experience that extends the emotion of the voyage, in a sensitive continuity between the sea and the material.
The seats seem to interact with the light: in the shade, they take on bluish nuances, then reveal themselves green in the sun, like the deep waters of the lagoons which transform over the hours. This lively and subtle effect finds its strength in the SJA Como fabric, the reference chosen to translate these delicate variations.
On the backrests, the stripes add rhythm and texture, like scales evoking the diversity of tropical fauna. More than a pattern, they become an essential graphic signature of the boat, a detail that intrigues and enhances. The Kaima Fonio reference embodies this identity, like a nod to the organic textures of the ocean.
Other shades recall the softness of sun-warmed rocks. Neither white nor black, they unfold in a colorful, subtle and nuanced gray, designed to reflect light without absorbing it and preserve passenger comfort. This choice of the Tundra Penja, Wander Gobi and Lopi Viper references reflects the attention paid to every detail, where aesthetics and technicality meet.
Thus, the upholstery of the Lagoon EIGHTY 2 tells a sensitive story, made of transformations, textures and connections with the living.
