When nautical excellence meets textile expertise, a new vision of travel is born.
Sunbrella® has entered into an exclusive partnership with Lagoon, the world leader in cruising catamarans, to dress the outdoor spaces of the EIGHTY 2, its new iconic yacht.

A yacht designed for emotions

With elegant lines, generous volumes, and an open horizon, the Lagoon EIGHTY 2 is much more than a sailing yacht: it is an invitation to escape. Every detail has been designed to go beyond sailing and deliver a unique sensory experience, where comfort and refinement converse with the sea.

Through the interplay of colors, textures, and patterns, Sunbrella® collections enhance the yacht's outdoor living spaces, creating a warm and refined atmosphere true to Lagoon's art of living.

Inspired by Pacific lagoons

The Sunbrella® upholstery for seating, sunbeds, backrests, and cushions pays tribute to island landscapes and the richness of marine life. Vibrant, shifting shades are inspired by Polynesian lagoons: deep blues, emerald greens, and mottled grays evoke water, rock, and lush vegetation.
Patterns and textures, sometimes striped, sometimes organic, echo fish scales, coral formations, and the rhythm of the waves. Depending on the light, the seating subtly transforms, reflecting the ever-changing atmosphere of the ocean.

Tailor-made design support

Behind every piece of upholstery on the EIGHTY 2 lies meticulous creative work.
From the early stages of the project, Amandine Fournier, designer at Sunbrella®, worked closely with Lagoon's teams to define a unique textile atmosphere. Moodboards inspired by Polynesian lagoons, chromatic palettes, textures, and material pairings: every choice was made to translate the emotion of travel into design.

From outdoor upholstery to indoor seating, each fabric was carefully selected, balancing the technical requirements of sailing with refined, long-lasting aesthetics.
This creative dialogue brought to life a visual and sensory harmony, true to the Lagoon spirit and Sunbrella®'s high standards.

Exceptional outdoor spaces

The EIGHTY 2 is distinguished by its vast spaces designed for conviviality and contemplation:

  • At the stern, a modular cockpit opens onto a large platform dedicated to relaxation.

  • At the bow, a waterside lounge, extended by a bar area, invites sharing and serenity.

  • On the flybridge, nearly 50 m² offer an unparalleled panoramic view of the horizon.

In each of these spaces, Sunbrella® textiles accompany comfort and elevate the sailing experience.
