Recycle My Dickson: for virtuous recycling

Our goal: to recover, reuse, recycle or upcycle to give our textiles a second life and reduce the impact on the planet.

A key link in our approach: waste collection

Without collected materials, there is no recycling, no eco-designed product lines. We ensure the collection of 100% of textile waste from across the entire value chain, whether it comes from:

  • Our two production sites: fabric scraps, selvedge remnants, yarn scraps, and cone bottoms.
  • Our industrial and installation partners: manufacturing scraps.

The waste is sorted by colour upon collection. Four main categories have been defined: beige, grey, black, and other tones.

Pre-sorting: an essential step

Pre-sorting is essential during collection: it allows us to determine the different grades of recycled fibres that will be used in the production of our recycled yarns, and therefore in our various eco-designed product lines. It also helps simplify the subsequent sorting carried out by our shredding partner.

To support our customers in this process, we provide them with collection materials and a methodology to facilitate the implementation of the sorting process.

Eco-designed product lines that stand out for their authenticity and unique character

Our eco-designed ranges contain up to 50% recycled material and will be available in our three main markets.

  • Furniture - with the Endless Stories collection
  • Marine - with the Sunbrella Plus® Recycled range
  • Sun protection.

Their subtly irregular texture and more pronounced grain reveal small imperfections from the recycled fibres, giving each creation its own unique beauty and character. The heathered and delicately nuanced colour shades are directly inspired by elements of nature, further enhancing their natural and timeless charm.

At Dickson's, nothing is lost, everything is transformed

Textile waste that isn't transformed into fibre finds other uses.

  • Upcycling and eco-design. Because every material can become a creative opportunity, we also collaborate with designers, craftspeople, and local eco-design professionals to transform our textiles into unique and sustainable products. Upcycling thus gives rise to new objects, accessories, or decorative materials with high added value.
  • Non-compliant waste is repurposed as insulation, filters, or nonwovens.
