A restoration that dresses up with outstanding solar protection. Located between the Trocadéro and the Champs Elysées, the Peninsula Hôtel, opened in 1908, experienced several restorations without any real care given to its Beaux-Arts style facades. In 2015, the effort of 900 people during the 4 years works was recognized with the prestigious european design EHDA award in the renovation and restoration category. With 200 rooms or suites, it is more than 600 bay windows where all the rooms have been equiped with solar protections. A job handed to Roussel Stores, expert in solar protections since more than 200 years. Three types of awnings have been made : dutch canopies for curved bay, drop arm awnings on some terrasses and italian awnings. The installation was made by CYB Stores. The fire safety regulations require the use of fire-retardant M1 fabric : 1200m2 of Dickson fabric have been used.
