Lafuma Mobilier collaboration

Since 1954, Lafuma Mobilier has been designing, developing and manufacturing designer metal and textile indoor and outdoor furniture for all those moments of relaxation. Sustainability, comfort and style are the common values of all their creations. It has been a Living Heritage Company (Entreprise du Patrimoine Vivant) since 2020.

This collaboration between Lafuma Mobilier and Sunbrella® was born from a common desire to create sustainable, ergonomic and easy-going French furniture. The Made in France furniture brand integrates disassembly from the creation and design phase of its products. At the end of their life cycle, all products can be easily disassembled, some even without tools. The design teams create no-frills products made of partially recycled and 100% recyclable steel and aluminium from European countries. With its high-performance solution-dyed acrylic fabrics, Sunbrella has everything it takes to appeal to Lafuma Mobilier. Created by the brand's design studio and woven in Wasquehal near Lille, Sunbrella acrylic fabrics last longer than traditional fabrics and save more water during the manufacturing process.

Designed for both indoor and outdoor use, the Allure collection is made up of tables and chairs in two ranges “Ancône” and “Lounge”. Each creation is characterised by a matt black metal tubular structure. The chairs are all upholstered in triple-layer padding from Sunbrella's Tundra range, exclusively produced for Lafuma Mobilier and available in three colours: Cobalt blue, Ebony black and Granite grey. 

Inspired by Bauhaus, with its minimalist design and refined finishes, the “Ancône” range is characterised by its ingenuity and elegance. Extendable and welcoming, the Ancône table is an essential for indoor and outdoor dining. Its complementary Ancône armchairs have clear, graphic lines, curved armrests and padded seats covered in Sunbrella acrylic fabric. The play on textures and depths created by the exclusive Tundra textile range provides a harmonious combination and a freedom of composition with its mix & match style.

With its “Lounge” range, Lafuma Mobilier is inspired by the famous Pop-Up armchair: the black tubular structure of the “Sphinx” is simple, elegant and perfectly matches the “Cocoon” coffee table with its refined and resolutely contemporary style. It can be used both inside and outside, thanks to its ingenious spindle folding system. Upholstered in Sunbrella's exclusive Tundra, which is also available in three colours, the “Sphinx” armchair provides a modern touch to spaces, while guaranteeing optimum comfort.
