Glare and heat sensation are caused by solar radiation. Solar radiation is an electromagnetic phenomenon. It transfers energy to Earth in a series of waves with specific heat, light and color characteristics.
A wave can be measured by its length. Waves that reach Earth as solar radiation have a length of around one micron (μm).
