Sunbrella fabrics are made from acrylic fibers. These acrylic fibers are solution-dyed for fade resistance and long-term durability.
What are the benefits of Sunbrella acrylic fiber?
Sunbrella fabrics are made using Color to the Core™ technology. Once saturated, the fiber is spun into yarns, which are then woven to create the high-performance, durable Sunbrella fabric we know. The Color to the Core™ technology ensures a fabric that stands the test of time in terms of color, performance despite exposure to the elements, and cleaning. You can find all the performance details of our fabrics on the "Why Choose Sunbrella?" page.
Are Sunbrella fabrics Made in Europe?
Sunbrella fabrics are made all over the world. The European production sites are located in the north of France, in Wasquehal and Hordain. Regardless of location, Sunbrella fabrics are always made to the same standards and delivered where and when you need them. Find out more information on the "Sunbrella Brand" page.
Is there a difference between the standard fabrics and those from the Endless Stories recycled fibers collection?
The recycled nature of the fabrics in the Endless Stories collection allows for slight color variations between batches. Occasionally, slub yarns may appear, enhancing the character of these fabrics. Aside from these aesthetic particularities, regardless of the type of application chosen, the fabrics from the Endless Stories collection are produced with the same level of quality and performance. Find all the performance details of our fabrics on the "Why choose Sunbrella?" page.
What is the width of Sunbrella fabrics?
The width of our fabrics depends on the quality chosen. For upholstery fabrics, we generally use a width of 137cm or 140cm. Windows fabrics are wider and usually 300cm wide.
What applications can you use Sunbrella fabrics for?
Originally, the brand's fabrics were specifically designed to equip boats. This maritime expertise, focused on weather resistance, fading, and stains, forged Sunbrella's reputation. Over time, these durable fabrics were redirected to other applications, without ever compromising their original performance. Today, whether for indoor furniture, outdoor furniture, or sun protection solutions, Sunbrella offers solutions that combine aesthetics and durability.
Are Sunbrella fabrics fade resistant?
Sunbrella acrylic fibers are saturated with UV-stable colors and pigments before being spun. This process makes Sunbrella fabrics resistant to UV fading and durable. Find all the performance details of our fabrics on the "Why choose Sunbrella?" page.
Are Sunbrella fabrics flame retardant and waterproof?
Flame retardant and waterproof finishes are available upon request and under certain conditions. Please refer to the "Discover Sunbrella Special Finishes" page for more information.
Do Sunbrella fabrics provide softness and comfort?
Designed for both indoor and outdoor applications, Sunbrella fabrics remain soft to the touch and comfortable: essential criteria that our teams continuously consider during development. Find all the performance details of our fabrics on the "Why Choose Sunbrella?" page.
Are Sunbrella fabrics rot-proof?
The mass-dyed acrylic used to produce our fabrics is rot-proof, unlike natural fibers such as cotton. However, to prevent mold formation on the surface, it is recommended to regularly clean the fabric. Find all the performance details of our fabrics on the page "Why Choose Sunbrella?".
How do I clean Sunbrella fabrics?
Sunbrella fabrics are easy to maintain and known for their stain resistance. However, it is essential to care for your fabrics to maintain their appearance and durability. Find some basic care tips on the "Sunbrella Fabric Care Guide" page. For more stubborn stains, you can also download our care guides there.
What are the warranty conditions for Sunbrella products?
Each product has a specific warranty level. To know the duration and terms of the warranty, visit the "Sunbrella Warranties" page.
Are Sunbrella fabrics good for me and the environment?
We are Greenguard and OEKO TEX certified which means our fabrics help to create a healthy indoor environment in terms of chemical emissions and are produced without hazardous substances that may pose a danger to health, skin or the environment. Find all our initiatives and certifications on the "Our Initiatives" page.
Is there a recycled offer?
As part of its Sunbrella ReCycled offer, Sunbrella has created the Endless Stories collection, which contains up to 50% of recycled mass-dyed acrylic fibers. Our recycled fibers come directly from our production plants where waste is sorted into color groups and reprocessed into fibers. These fibers are then mixed with Sunbrella's "virgin" fibers. For more information, visit the "Endless Stories Collection" page.
What is the minimum order quantity?
The minimum order quantity is one roll. However, we can force an order for a smaller quantity for a surcharge.
