Maison Estrangin: where heritage and modernity meet on a Dickson floor

Inspiration's type : Projects Published at: 2025-04-29

In Marseille, CEPAC has renovated two floors of its historic headquarters to create contemporary and functional spaces. Led by the RF Design agency, the project resulted in Maison Estrangin, a space designed as a house for work, meetings, and hospitality.

At the heart of CEPAC's historic headquarters in Marseille, two emblematic floors have been completely redesigned to create an all-new venue for meetings, receptions, and work: Maison Estrangin.

Entrusted to the RF Design agency, this ambitious renovation project blends heritage preservation with a modern vision. To cover an entire floor, the team selected our Dickson woven flooring in the shade Mirage Nimbus Beige J522. This choice was driven by the natural elegance of our weaving, the unmatched varnished finish – unique in the market – and the commitment to French manufacturing. From the moment it was installed, the feedback was unanimous: a refined, timeless design, genuine acoustic comfort, and easy maintenance – ideal for intensive professional use.

In this remarkable architectural setting, our woven flooring plays more than just a functional role: it becomes a material, a structure, and a true identity. A perfect illustration of how carefully chosen materials can help shape new narratives in historically rich spaces.

Interior architect Adrien Pichol shares his thoughts on the project:

Dickson: What prompted the renovation of the meeting and workspaces in this project?

Adrien Pichol: The CEPAC headquarters in Marseille is an exceptional historic building. Caisse d'Épargne entrusted RF Design with the renovation of two of its floors. Together, we created Maison Estrangin, a new space for meetings, hospitality, and work.

Dickson: Why did you choose Dickson Woven Flooring?

Adrien Pichol: The woven flooring immediately appealed to Caisse d'Épargne for its premium appearance, elegance, and robustness. The choice of Dickson Woven Flooring was based on two main criteria: French manufacturing and the durable varnished finish that no other manufacturer offered.

Dickson: What role did the flooring play in the project?

Adrien Pichol: It was installed across an entire floor.

Dickson: Once the Dickson flooring was installed, what were your impressions?

Adrien Pichol: A refined and timeless design, acoustic comfort, and easy maintenance.
