How to care for your Sunbrella® fabrics
It’s easy. All Sunbrella® fabrics are stain-resistant and easy-care to give you total peace of mind, so that you can make the most of what life has to offer.
New stains
One of the best ways of preserving Sunbrella fabrics is to clean liquids and stains quickly before they seep into the fabric.
1. Dab any spilled liquids (don’t scrub) with a clean, dry cloth. For oily spillages, apply something absorbent, like corn starch, then clean with a squeegee.
2. Prepare a cleaning solution by mixing water and soap or washing-up liquid.
3. Clean with a soft-bristle brush.
4. Rinse or dab the fabric carefully to remove all soap residues.
5. Let it air dry.
6. Repeat the rinsing and dabbing steps until all leftover soap has disappeared.
Dried-on stains
1. Make up a solution of 60 ml of bleach and 150 ml of soap per litre of water.
2. Spray this solution all over the stain and leave it for 15 mins to soak into the fabric.
3. Clean the whole surface with a sponge, a clean towel or a soft-bristle brush.
4. Rinse or dab the fabric carefully to remove all soap residues.
5. Let it air dry.
6. Repeat the rinsing and dabbing steps until all leftover soap has disappeared.
Tips
For stubborn stains, increase the proportion of bleach.
