How to care for and clean your extra-fine Sunbrella® fabrics
The best way of preserving the appearance of your Sunbrella fabric is by caring for the material. To do so, simply brush away dirt before it get stuck on the fabric, absorb any spillages straight away, and clean stains soon after they appear.

General or light cleaning
Put it on a cold wash in the washing machine or use a professional dry cleaning service.
Cleaning stains
- Mix a small amount of soap with water in a spray bottle and spray it on.
- Rub the solution into the stain lightly with a sponge or a soft cloth.
- Rinse carefully to remove all soap residue.
- Let it air dry.
- Repeat these steps until the stain is gone.
Machine washing
- Pretreat any stained areas with a suitable stain remover.
- Use the appropriate amount of detergent, according to the weight of the fabric to be washed.
- For optimal results, put it on a cold wash.
- Let it air dry.
Intensive cleaning for stubborn stains and mould
Sunbrella fabrics are resistant to mould. However, mould can appear if dirt and other substances are left on them. To clean stubborn stains:
- Add 6 ml of bleach to the cleaning solution.
- Soak the fabric for 10–15 minutes in the cleaning solution.
- For optimal results, put it on a cold wash in the washing machine (stop the machine before the spin cycle).
- Let it air dry.
If there is a lot of mould or the stain will not go away, you can increase the amount of bleach in the solution.
